The Opportunity:

This is a highly competitive, hands-on internship designed to give you a 360-degree view of commercial real estate development and investment. You will gain exposure to every phase of a project lifecycle, from initial concept to financial closing. Serving as an essential contributor to our Development and Finance teams, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals who are shaping communities and delivering best-in-class projects for national tenants.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Brentwood, TN from June 1st through August 7th (dates flexible).

What You'll Learn & Contribute To:

Interns at CMK work on active projects and gain firsthand experience in:

• Financial Modeling & Analysis: Support deal underwriting by building and refining development proformas and investment waterfall models.
• Market Research & Site Selection: Compile and analyze market data, rental comps, and demographic trends to identify new build-to-suit opportunities.
• Due Diligence Support: Review and organize documentation for land acquisition, entitlement, and closing.
• Capital & Investor Relations: Assist in preparing investment summaries and presentations for lenders and accredited investors.
• Project Management: Help monitor budgets, timelines, and construction draws across active development projects.

Qualifications:

• Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program and entering junior or senior year (Summer 2026).
• Field of Study: Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, or Business-related major required.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas) and PowerPoint.
• Professional Traits: Strong work ethic, analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must demonstrate initiative, accountability, and an interest in commercial real estate development.
